I am wanting a new header for my blog ... But have no idea how to make one or find a good website to where I can create one.

Help a girl out?

Any ideas or links?

  1. I use Picnik.com, or there are great bloggers out there who have design sites.

  2. I just stumbled across your blog tonight. I also stumbled across this one http://www.dirtandlacedesigns.com/2009/07/individual-elements-signature-3.html Dirt and Lace Designs. I contacted her late late last night to ask her to make me one. She contacted me this morning to get it started. I originally thought I would be on a waiting list, but she is starting it this weekend :D Super excited, because as you can tell, my blog is pretty lame right now. I've seen other blogs she's made and really liked the look of them, and she is currently opened (unlike other designers I've seen) no waiting list, and seemed to be priced the cheapest. Hope this helps :D

  3. Also, before I stumbled upon that site above, I found a tutorial on how to create my own design here http://www.happyhousewifedesigns.com/search/label/Tutorials She's got it on the right side page named "Learn Blog Design". So I gave it a shot, but then I couldn't figure out how to use Gimp properly and found a tutorial here: http://brainsongimp.blogspot.com/2008/06/creating-blog-headers.html

Once I did that, It was pretty easy to add my new heading to my blog. If you can't figure it out, comment on my blog and I'll copy the email I was given on how to do it.

But after I figured the header out, I got frustrated and bought a scrapbook kit specifically for the use on blogger. (I found the link to that website through Happy Housewife Design that she mentioned during step 4) That was very simple to use and everything was premade. I was able to pick what I wanted and they gave me template code. I just didn't like that it had one sidebar and couldn't figure out how to change it. I gave up and then went to Dirt and Lace.
